A total of 25,083 Glycine max shot gun sequences comprising approximately 11.4 MB were used for the de novo repeat analysis using RECON (Bao and Eddy, 2002)*. The raw RECON output was parsed for elements with length greater than or equal to 40 bases and present more than twice. 46.4% of the sequences were detected as repetitive by RECON out of which 13.4 % were tandem repeats.
