SUMMER PROJECTS

Here you will learn more about the five collaborating institutions of our project and possible summer projects you can work on during the summer. These are only some examples of projects. Depending on your interests and background, we will do our best to develop projects you are willing and able to accomplish over your eight week summer internship.

Summer Research Laboratories / Locations:

Each summer of the Soymap project, undergraduate students will conduct an eight-week summer research internship in:

• The Jackson Lab at Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana
• The Shoemaker Lab at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa
• The Cregan Lab at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC), Beltsville, Maryland
• The Doyle Lab at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York
• The Schmutz Lab at HudsonAlpha, Huntsville Alabama

Students wil be assigned a mentor who will work closely with the student to ensure completion of a project over the 8-week summer period.
